What It Feels Like – France House
“The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge”, Bertrand Russell wrote in his 1925 treatise on The Conquest of Happiness.
Every building we make has an embedded story and seeks out this conquest. These are personal discoveries about our clients' lives and extend into the architecture, weaving together a cohesion of spaces that relate to context, personality and circumstance.
It's emotional because it's personal, and it should be. Making 'home' is one of the most profound journeys we can undertake.
Our recent short film celebrates the completion of France House. Exploring the human themes, rituals and passions of our clients' lives from dawn to dusk.

Hyde + Hyde
From a dawn surf, preparing good food - in warmth and immersed in an abundance of natural light. Finally at the end of the day to wind down, relax in front of the fire with a good book.
These human acts are not esoteric ideals; they are simple rituals that elevate our soul and remind us what it means to be human.
