Virtual Reality / Almost Real

'Chances are we're all living in a simulation’
- Elon Musk

As a studio we are always reviewing and integrating new technologies, be it 3D printing prototypes for Hyde Objects, exploring the latest rendering software, insulation technologies or simply keeping up to date with Apple Special Events.

The most recent addition is the use of virtual reality in our work, using a VR display and rendering software we are able to transport ourselves and our clients into a fully immersive spatial environment for their new home. VR has been a powerful tool to convey our designs not only in a three-dimensional and spatial manner, but also providing glimpses into atmospheric and emotive scenarios.

Sunrise flowing through voile curtains onto your bed. The warm light emanating from your home as you approach it on a moody winter evening. A hearth crackling in your living room during a dark rainstorm.

In addition to these picturesque portrayals, VR is a really useful design tool that allows us to investigate and evaluate new designs very quickly, such as how visible a building is from the surrounding landscape or comparing existing and proposed structures.

Virtual Reality is an excellent tool in the world of architecture and is allowing us to explore truly captivating new sites and locations. VR offers uncompromising insight for our clients and allows everyone to experience the power of architecture well before it is made.
