Don't Forget Frank

Volume up + press play

Most are familiar with the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. His houses feel a century ahead of time as they happily converse with nature. Take the Robie House designed in 1906 with its powerful cantilevers! or Falling Water suspended in a forest above a waterfall and built-in 1939. But few are aware of the remarkable interview he did with Mike Wallace back in 1957.

With our high Fidelity 4K TVs, you would be forgiven for not wanting to commit time to watch a 50-minute black and white interview. However, there are some remarkable gems of wisdom here of a productive life lived. His thoughts - although controversial at the time, may be more relevant today than they ever have been. Sharing his philosophy of an organic architecture, nature, culture, politics and death.

For those that want to go deep and learn more - Frank Lloyd Wright’s Houses Book is a good place to start. However if you have the time it’s worth watching the interview above until the end, if only for his insights into our relationship with nature and the potential of the human condition.
