The client requirements for California House were profoundly simple, - 'to feel like we are floating within the forest itself'. This dream is made real through the introduction of a series of horizontal architectural elements that reinforce this illusion. Cantilevers, Concrete balconies and bridges amplify the experience of hovering, while deep overhanging roof planes shelter the occupants from sun wind and rain; establishing an elegantly proportioned home.
